Regarding WIP teams

Hello friends.

It's come to our attention that there are a lot of teams still waiting to be created in the Team Creation Discussion forum. It also seems that there are now very few Ace teams that are actually open, Lost, Shipwreck and Frost being the only ones at the time of writing.

The teams that are sitting there in the team creation forum either need to be made as soon as possible or scrapped. Any threads who don't receive a reply from the team leader within one week of this announcement going up will be moved to the Basket and scrapped.

I say this for two reasons. Firstly, new members have a very limited choice as to what they can choose for their first team. Secondly, there is a plot team due to start that has had to go on hold because of this problem.

So, if you have a WIP team sitting in the forum not doing anything, go and post there within a week and work to get it going. No replies and it will be considered abandoned and scrapped.

I kind of disagree with this-- while I understand that there can't be too many WIP teams and that there do need to be more ace teams, you need to take into consideration that members that make teams generally tend to work on several at once. For example, Balth and I-- I am working on getting several up, Reflection, Mahogany, and Balth Collesseum and Fortree (cant think right now but i know theres more).

May I suggest that team leads starting multiple teams have to work on at least one team at a time, and none of the others be scraped as they focus on one? If i try to make seven teams at once, well..... that wont work. Reflection I am revising due to several Harbingers out of commission, and Mahogany plot is being reworked. But I am starting Fallarbor now. I personally go through and glance at my WIP teams often, making sure that I am keeping the ones that are there-- i have scraped three so far.

I do not mean to sound rude, this just seems a little insanely harsh to me, as someone who starts multiple teams ^^'' THe WIP section is like the PC, i dont think there shoul be such strict rules to get them pushed. Plot and character profiles take time, and I in particular put all of my time and effort when pushing a team to be created. :c if this rule becomes legit then I probably will start... very, very few teams personally, and I would hate hate HATE to have the site not get as many teams up as possible. I just put up Fallarbor which is open to all members, so, I donno, can you cut us a little bit of slack when theres multiple projects at once? ^^'

All you need to do to keep your team is reply on the thread and say that you still wish to keep its production going. This is just a way of separating the teams that have simply been pushed back a little and others that have been completely abandoned. There are some teams in there that haven't been touched since August.

I do request that one or two of these teams currently in development have a little more seeing to though. Sooner or later there will be no available teams whatsoever, causing problems for new members AND putting pressure on people to make their teams. I'm telling everyone this now, while there's time, so that this doesn't happen.
