Badge Suggestions

LOL, PRISM BADGE. xD I had an idea for a hack a long time ago, and the whole thing revolved around colors. The eighth badge was the Prism badge. The evil people were also called the Prism squad. Buncha crazy hobos who wanted to make the world black and white.

Creation is the 4th gen, Drago. Azurill first appeared in R/S/E. It would be the Golem or something badge...

Even so, it's still the same badge. I love Flying-type Pokemon, yet I don't want (it's) over 9,000 Fog Badges. Point is, it's supposed to be a solution to having many of the same type of Pokemon and not needing to get the same badge.

I also forgot to say something about the Floaters-only badge. I called it the Traverse Badge. I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT Oh god, I can't stop thinking of that when I hear 'Floaters'. xD

As for the all types done badge, call it the Gemstone badge, and have sections of it be red, blue, green, yellow, gold, silver, crystalline, ruby-like, sapphire-like, emerald-like, diamond-like, pearl-like, platinum-like, black, and white.

Because you symbolically 'completed' the 'Pokedex'... Or should I say the Infectedex.

I was thinking you could have a "wayward" or "wanderer" badge for a pokemon that has changed regions between badges/floater and a "Stranger" badge for RP-ing a pokemon introduced in a different/later generation in a region and a "native" badge for RP-ing a pokemon from it's native reigon.
Or possibly a badge for dual characters from the same region being the "Hometown" badge.
Just throwing some ideas around :P

With the implementation of the new member referral thread, perhaps we can also Add a Recruiter Badge for bringing X members to the site?

Perhaps for every 10 members? :3

Maybe drop it down to 5, due to recruitment being more difficult than posting? I don't know, just tossing around ideas.

As soon as Lute is finished with the others, we'll start on adding more badges.

Just some ideas-
A badge for pokemon that evolves using a trade-link
A badge for pokemon that would normally have come from a fossil
A badge for pokemon that evolves using a type of stone
A badge for pokemon that evolves from an eevee
A badge for 'child' pokemon (I mean stuff like pichu that can only be obtained in the games as an egg...)

Just some ideas. Not the best ideas, just ideas.

How about a 'Differentiate" Badge for having a dual post with one Pokemon being infected and one being living, with both surviving for more than 20 posts, but they have to start out that way?

Betrayal Badge [or some other name], for in the case that you have a dual character and one character kills the other? [It must be a direct kill with the intent to kill on the other, not an accident.]

How about a growth badge for having a character that has started off at low level/level one/an egg and made it through all possible stages of its evolution? (Except for the single stage evolution ones)

Ooh, I got one. How about a badge for a character that's acted as a harbinger for another character before? It could be called the 'Messenger badge' or something (because I looked up 'Harbinger' out of curiosity and that's what it said.)

Okay how about a badge for when a charactor hatches an egg in RP? I've noticed that a good handfull of charactors have eggs with them So whynaut?

Me and Ciana were talking, and i got to thinking, why not have a platinum badge for 100 posts? That or rainbow version since i think platinum would look too similar to silver...

But as for effects/benefits, i was thinking it would be cool to have a benefit that effects that character only. Not the player itself basically (well, maybe both...) but the pokemon/character mainly.


As for what that effect could be...... i do not know....i was thinking maybe the pokemon being made to have the carrier status? But that might be too much to explain in game.

Here's a suggestion: Perhaps some of these could be earned as ribbons instead of badges? Like if you RP a shiny to the required post amount you can get a "Shining Ribbon" for them and a reward? Ribbons could be given away too as prizes for participation in EJ contests and possible have a benefit for the pokmeon that earns them?

That's a great idea; ribbons as minor prizes.
