    Olivine Lighthouse || Early Morning

Rarely did the morning sun provide a refuge from the gnarled teeth of the infected. Be it night, or broad daylight. Nowhere felt safe anymore. Not the place once called home, not the neighbor's house, not even at the side of a close friend. All hope for solace seemed to have liquidated in the eyes of Faux ever since the world she once knew became dominated by blood-thirsty demons.

Something kept her attached to Olivine, and Faux knew exactly what it was. The possibility that she'd see that old woman's face again kept her hanging around, even though she knew very well that the humans actually stayed dead. It had been the last bit of sanity she ever knew... the last bit of reality she longed for, and it had been so viciously ripped from her paws. Her small form cringed at the image in her head. A body so limp, lying in tatters of flesh and guts. She shuttered, and her paws slid over her ears as her body tensed from the memory. It made her sick thinking about it, but the memory of that old woman was keeping her sane. Even if the last thought of her wound up being the disgusting form of a lifeless corpse.

Ever since that particular incident, Faux had found herself roaming the nearby routes that surrounded Olivine. Once even braving to go almost as far as Ecruteak, but she had quickly retreated. The old scents that were once so familiar had been replaced by the smell of rotting bits of skin, and blood. Even that Miltank farm that once produced the Moomoo milk she once gorged herself on had been abandoned. So she thought at least, she had never managed up the courage to attempt to explore it. Sticking to the shadows and staying hidden had become her main priority. Which was why she was currently curled up in the corner of the second floor of the Olivine Lighthouse. The few windows helped filter light into the dark and dreary structure. She had no idea to what happened to Amphy, but there was no power. Making most of the building cold and dark.

Thankfully, the infected didn't seem to have much interest in the Lighthouse. For all she knew, Faux was the only living inhabitant within it, and she could only hope the undead weren't lurking around one of the upper floors. Slowly, her body unfurled and out her front paws stretched. She wasn't entirely sure of what her next move was to be, and figured coming up with some sort of a plan would be her best option.

'Making sure this place is free of undead would be a good start,' her eyes drifted towards the ceiling as she pondered her thoughts. The world around her seemed deathly silent. She once loved the silence, but now she hated it. Her ears stood erect, listening for any noise while her eyes opened wide. The light from the windows was just enough so that she could see most of the second floor. Every inch she scrutinized closely from her spot on the floor, even the ceiling she watched for movement. There was no room for mistakes in this new world.

    {{ooc; Until I'm able to get my hands on a recolored image of a Vulpix. I hope the one above will do!}}

      {{EDIT ooc; Image credited to Anathema for alteration, thanks once more!}}

Uppermost floor of the Lighthouse | early morning
    [1]

The Olivine Lighthouse. Staccato had heard his trainer speak excitedly of this place, of how the light was produced by a strong Ampharos. But as the Chatot flew through the broken glass roof of the top floor, he only noticed a small dip in the middle (where he presumed the Ampharos used to be), and cement all around. The lighthouse was lifeless and cold. Staccato felt cold inside also, and he started to hum a familiar tune as he hopped around the floor anxiously. Where should I go now? If I stay here, I'll die of hunger for sure.

As he continued to hum, Staccato slowly came down the steps. The Chatot knew that he was making plenty of noise, but at the moment he didn't exactly care if he was caught red handed. The bird Pokemon still felt cold and lifeless, nothing more than one of the zombies outside, just like the lighthouse. His trainer was dead, and he was lost in a stranger's territory- anything could happen at this point. Staccato suddenly shivered, ruffling his feathers as he tried to warm himself. He stopped on the last step of the stairways, deciding that this was the perfect place to stay safe. Not out in plain sight, but not too deep to not be able to escape easily. Right where he should be.

The Chatot sighed, stopping his moderato hum. All he needed right now was something to stop the rapid flow of events, so that he could think. Perhaps a rest would do me good... Staccato thought as he closed his eyes. He was a light sleeper; he would be able to wake up before any approaching dangers got to him. The Music note Pokemon hummed a quiet, legato song, letting his mind drift as the last notes echoed through the lighthouse.

Ven was in very deep manure, he opened his mouth and let his eccolation give him at least a fuzzy image of the city he was in now. But he was more worried about the undead pidgeotto that had been following him. Using his claws as hooks he climbed up the building he was next to he hoped he'd lost the damn thing.

But no, he couldn't be that lucky. He heard a coo behind him and turned to the disgusting scent of the undead. He lept back instictvly flapping his wings crazily as he tried to gain air and fly off. His left wing flapped uselessly only giving him one foot of air. A fuzzy image of the bird pokemon seemed to come closer. Ven prepared to use supersonic just as a large gust of wind threw the zubat higher then he ever intended to go. The winds grew stonger the higher he went, he careened and turned trying to gain control over himself. He got a fuzzy image of a tower and angling his wing he dived straight down toward it.

Lucky for him the window was already broken, unluckily for him his flapping only got him a good enough landing to where he wasn't seriously damaged the rest hurt like hell.

Lifting his head off the floor the zubat 'looked' around. he wasn't entirley sure where he was other then in a tower.
His ears pricked at the sound of other living heart beats in the tower.
"hello?! iz any vone there!?" He didn't bother fixing himself, it didn't matter right now.

2nd Floor of the Olivine Lighthouse || Early Morning

The room appeared as though it were void of life with the exception of the Fox Pokemon who still resided in her corner. As luck would have it. The undead didn't seem to be on the same floor as Faux, if there were any undead within the lighthouse at all.

'It's so quiet,' the silence loomed like a menacing ghoul. Baring its deadly grin and withholding secrets that hid in its shadows. Faux wasn't tempted to move from the corner her body had warmed. It's where she had found refuge since the morning of the former day, but anxiety was setting in. Staying in one place to long always meant an encounter with a lively corpse, and she was never to fond of those meetings. The monsters were savages. They'd sooner rip her limb from limb than allow her a two day sanctuary, but leaving the lighthouse didn't sound like the greatest of ideas to her. With it being so close to the sea, and having a once luscious green route to the north. Who knew just how many beasts were running a muck in Olivine.

The Fire type took cautious steps as she made her way towards a set of stairs. They lead up onto the next floor. If she remembered right, one of the floors lead out onto a balcony. From there, you could reach the uppermost floor of the lighthouse. Maybe should could take a look up there, and figure out where to head to next? Her heart pounded at the mere thought of returning to the outside world, but she stayed calm. At least... until there came some sort of humming.

Someone else was in this lighthouse. Faux's heart pounded, blood raced through her ears and for a moment she couldn't help but to think she was going to attract the Undead. She took a breath to calm herself. Her body grew warmer as the flame inside her increased temperature. It could only be two options. One of those infected bastards, or the living. Neither were welcomed in her opinion. Everyone she once trusted had turned on her at one point or another, and those she had grown attached to ended up dead. She'd have to investigate one way or another. With the addition of the humming, her sensitive ears picked up noise from beyond the walls. A screaming caw from a flyer caused her fur to stand on end. Her teeth grinded as the heat from her body intensified. With ears and eyes alert, she made her way up the stairs.

Stairs leading to roof | early morning
    [2]

Staccato woke up with a start, flying in a tight circle a few times to calm himself. He then landed, tilting his head in confusion. What had made the noise? It sounded like a thud coming from above him, almost as if... someone had crashed. The Chatot felt his tail flicking in his anger, in a very tight, staccato form, and he started hopping up the steps to face the infected and bring his wrath on the wretched thing.

As the Chatot was nearing the roof, he heard light steps coming from below him. It was at this time that Staccato started to feel concerned. I'm cornered! He glanced around the lower floor quickly, and seeing no visible sign of life from his viewpoint, the Chatot slowly peered upward to face his next opponent. "I know you're up here, zombie-face! Come and face me," He shouted.

Staccato felt his blood start to boil slightly, as he started to plan a Nasty Plot. These heinous Pokemon slaughtered his owner, and now they must pay.

Ven put his ears against the floor and could hear foot steps coming his way. He tried to move forward pulling himself with his wings.

"I know your up there zombie-face! Come and face me!"

Ven found this very rude, but he felt relief. Whatever pokemon had said this was clearly alive and not infected.

"I can't vreally see meh own vace so I dun know if I'm a zombie vace. An I can't come an' vace yah at the moment! Could yah come out instead?" Ven shouted as he asked. His crawling was fairly slow unless he was running away from some thing. And after that entire scene with the pigeotto he was tired so his crawling was slower then usual.

First Floor | early morning [1]

Mist had come out out of her hole, or what she had called her makeshift shelter, to gather berries and any other edible food items to eat. Just when she was about to give up and go home, she had spotted a infected Raticate. Without thinking of what to do next, she had immediately ran, or slithered, towards Olivine city.

And now she was still running, frightened, she dearly hoped that the infected was not following her as she spotted the lighthouse. It seemed like a safe place, except for that infected Pidgeotto near it. But hey, it was a large building, even if it were a building infested with those mutants, she would probably be able to hide.

With the last burst of energy within her, she had sped towards the door, opened the door by turning the knob with her tail, went inside, and slammed the door closed, making a loud bang that echoed through the building.

Mist shivered as she panted. She was tired as she laid down in a corner of the cold concrete floor. As she shifted her body to get more comfortable, she heard some talking from above. Or t least, sounds that sounded like talking. She wondered who it was. Maybe it was a living Pokemon? Or maybe the undead? She didn't know but she was too tired to car as she gasped for breath and said; "H-Hello? I-Is a-anyone the-there?" she stuttered.

    First Floor/early morning
Sin,who had just come from the shore to the west saw an interesting sight. An Arbok, had basically shot across the ground and into the old lighthouse. Sin knew very well that the light had been abandoned for a good while and for all he knew, was clear of the infected, and that a few Pokemon may have take refuge there.
Sin's curiousness soon got the better of him. He quickly snuck past the Pidgeotto, who showed clear signs of being infected, and into the Lighthouse after bashing the knob with his horn a few times, enough to make it open but not enough to break it. He crept inside, wary but kept his calm exterior and looked instantly toward the stairs where he heard footsteps before catching sight of the Arbok seen previously. Sin whipped his head toward the Arbok before demanding "Are you clean?"

(OoC: I don't know why the image won't show up. I've tried different links and this in the only one that "works")

3rd Floor of the Olivine Lighthouse || Early Morning

Faux emerged from the stairway and onto the third floor. Here, the room seemed much smaller than the previous room and held a single window and an open archway leading into the outside world. Thanks to having lived on the outskirts of Olivine for so long, the Fox Pokemon new the layout of the lighthouse rather well. She and her former master had made many visits to the old lighthouse. As a means of greeting the Ampharos that had once so graciously shined a light to guide the ships out at sea.

This was the third floor, and though this particularly room seemed small. There was a room beyond the wall that could be accessed by heading through the archway to the outside. There, she could quickly make her way around the balcony and into the other room of the third floor before continuing up the rest of the stairs to the next levels. Easier said then done when the menacing caw of the undead was just beyond the walls in which acted as her protector. Her body shuttered, and she jumped when the echo of a door slamming made its way throughout the structure of the building. With her ears on end, she froze and listened. It sounded as though it had come from beneath her. Had the Undead managed to make their way in? She sucked her tiny fangs and gave a quick look around the room. It seemed clear. Next she poked her head out of the archway and into the air of the morning.

It was almost as quiet as it was on the inside. Once more the Vulpix felt as though the silence were mocking her. She knew death lay in wait on the outside world. If she stayed in one room, she'd eventually die of starvation though. She knew she had to continue pushing forward, she needed a decent look of the land. She was only halfway up the lighthouse at this point, and was just able to start seeing the the top of the trees in the short distance.

Out she stepped, her eyes wide and observant as she stayed low and crept close to the wall. Above, another caw sounded. Faux froze, the heat from her body suddenly fell as though whatever was above was going to sense her. Slowly, her eyes looked above and that's where she saw it. There was a Pidgeotto flying high in the air, its sickening caw occasionally sounding. Worst of all, the ruckus from its voice seemed to have attracted two of its lesser forms. Pidgeys. Both of which were perched on the window sill of the next level up. Their jagged beaks picked at the window. Their wings were tatted, and while one's eyeball hung limp from its socket and had a chest painted in crimson. The other was missing a leg. Part of its brain was exposed. each time it pecked the window, Faux could see the organ jiggle. She shuttered, still frozen as the two seemed to stop. They hadn't noticed her, and had thankfully flown upwards to accompany the Pidgeotto.

As quick and quiet as she could move. Faux quickly moved around the balcony, and slipped into the larger room of the third for. For the first time since entering the balcony, she took a breath. If she had attracted any of their attention, she may have wound up bird food.

Staccato slowly hopped towards the Zubat, tapping the bat-like Pokemon with his claw when he was near enough. Blinded by his foolish rage, the Chatot shouted carelessly, attracting the Pidgeotto and its lackeys. Not only that, but they seemed to be closing in towards the lighthouse by the second also. "Hey, uh, you can stop and be quiet now. A few certain flying zombies are giving us the stink eye," He whispered to other Pokemon beside him. Staccato faced the Pidgeotto and the two Pidgeys, and patted the Zubat, thinking up another Nasty Plot.

"Close your ears, and hope they don't bleed!" Staccato yelled as he gave off a powerful Hyper Voice, crashing all the glass surrounding the roof. The Chatot himself wasn't effected by the outstanding noise of a Hyper Voice, being trained to ignore the volume and focus on the aim. The Music Note Pokemon watched as the sound waves flowed through the air, until they reached the flying zombies, whom promptly starting swirling around to try and avoid the deafening move. Staccato stopped for a moment, and glanced at the fallen Zubat, before flapping his wings and setting off towards the infected in the open sky, three of which were recovering from the noise ringing in their ears.

Staccato felt a little sorry for leaving a weak and obviously defenseless Zubat, when he knew that there were others within the lighthouse. The Chatot didn't know if by 'others' he meant 'zombies', but he did know, however, that the Zubat was an actual living Pokemon, and with that knowledge, Staccato knew he needed to defend him.

When the other pokemon had gotten close enough, Ven noticed that is was a flying type though not a very big one.
"Nice to meet yah good sim I'm-" he was cut off when the pokemon mentioned bird pokemon giving them the stink eye. The zubat 'looked' around to spot the pigeotto and the pidgeys that had followed.

"Close your ears and hope they don't bleed!" Ven's new accquantiance said. Ven obyed without question using his wings to cover his ears. The bird type used hyper voice. Though Ven was protected from most of the blow his supersensitive ears still rung painfully by the end of the attack.

The pokemon flew off then, to fight off the fleeing pidgeys and pigeotto. Ven knew that without being able to fly he would be useless. But underneath he could sense others, their heartbeats loud and clear so crawling as quickly as he could to the stairs he called out.

"Please somevone help! On the top floor! Ve are not the undead." Surprisingly the voice of a zubat was quiet loud, he reshouted this three more times. Unsure of what else to do Ven 'looked' back to where the bird pokemon where fighting and crawled onto the ledge. Maybe if they got close enough he could use supersonic.

Mist stared at the absol, completely scared and shivering as she shrunk to half her size. Summoning up her courage, she spoke. "Y-Yes, I think I-I am c-cl-clean...." she replied, trying her best to control her stuttering. "Wh-What ab-about you? A-Are y-you clean?" she asked, looking him over. He didn't seem to be a threat to her- but she could never be too careful.

Suddenly, she heard an ear-bleeding sound coming from above as she coiled her body, trying to block off the sound. Something or someone was using Hyper Voice up there- wether it was a undead trying to drive the living out, or living trying to keep undead out- she didn't know, and couldn't care much either as she hoped that she wouldn't go deaf.

Finally, the sound stopped. Thankful, she gave a sigh of relief. She thought she heard a voice though- a voice? Maybe it was a cry of help- a cry of pain- maybe a cry that meant victory? It didn't matter, she was too scared to go up there anyways.

"Good. And yes I am clean." Sin replied watching the Arbok shrink down. He disregarded and looked toward the stairs just as an eardrum shattering noise came from above. Sin flinched and held his paws over his ears. When it had stopped he moved his paws back down to the cold ground floor. "That must have been a Hyper Voice..." He muttered before beginning to more toward the stairs.
"Maybe more survivors...or the infected..." He muttered looking up the spiraling staircase "...And this place is about three or four floors high..." Sin muttered not realizing that he was thinking out loud again.

3rd Floor of the Olivine Lighthouse || Early Morning

Faux had only just stepped into the more spacious room of the third floor when a blood curdling noise rang from above. She flinched, and the rest of her body shuttered as she grit her teeth. For a moment, she thought it to be a death cry from one of the voices that had been echoing throughout the Lighthouse. Upon further thought, she reckoned it to be a Hyper Voice and could only thank that she wasn't on the same floor as that the attack had been performed on. Still, why was it even being used? Had the Flyers from outside found new victims to feed on, and were they attempting to protect themselves? It was logical, and with this thought the Fox Pokemon felt she had little reason to continue advancing up the floors. When she reached the sixth and final floor, if she reached it, would she meet the living? Or the dead?

The mere thought made her frown. She wasn't use to being helped... or even helping others for that matter, but then a voice from above seemed to call to those below. Her stomach lurched as she regained herself and quickly made a beeline for the stairs. It was crazy really. For the first time in days she was actually going to give someone a paw. Sticking her neck out for someone she didn't even know, it wasn't her thing but she needed to take a look of the land below. Depending upon how bad or good one direction looked is where she planned on traveling next. The less signs of infection. The more likely she'd head that way, then again... nowadays it seemed as though nowhere was a nice place to be.

Just as she closed in on the ladder, the Fox Pokemon froze. A fluster of paws and a heave of a squeak echoed throughout her floor. Her body suddenly grew warmer, as she began to feel as though she were being watched. Within seconds, claws were raking across the ground. Faux whipped around just in time to see a bloated Rattata lurching its body at her at full speed. "Gah!" The Vulpix leaped to her side, and with a roll was quickly on her paws as the rat landed and jerked its body around the face her. It looked as though the creature had gone through a blender. Its tail was nothing more than skeleton, most of its fur look as though it had been ripped off. Part of its snout was flank was eaten away, and some of its guts hung limp from its belly. All around its jaws was stained in crimson, and as it wheezed and hissed it slowly stepped towards Faux. Occasionally snapping its tattered jaws.

"Your one ugly son of a bitch," snarled Faux. Her ears erect and her muscles tensed as glazed eyes of the Rattata focused on her and her alone. It groped and clawed at the ground as it took off in a full on sprint to try and get its grimy paws on the Fire type. In a blur of faint red, Faux darted to the side of the creature. Her eyes glowed faintly as she performed an Extrasensory, which temporarily caused the monster to scream and writhe in pain. However, it didn't stop. It skid to a stop, and as it did its claws punctured the floor as it kicked off from the ground to try pouncing her once more.

Determined, Faux used another Quick Attack to give her speed. This time, she moved directly towards a window and positioned herself right in front so as the rat landed it was headed straight for her and the window once more. She stood her ground. Waiting for her chance to move... there! It had leaped once again. Immediately she darted forward, once she knew it was over her she whipped around and unleashed a Flamethrower. Upon making contact, it not only burned the creature. It also helped propel it straight through the glass and right out the window. Sending it plummeting to the world below. With a sigh of relief. She quickly headed towards the stairs and made her way up to the fourth floor.

Staccato narrowed his eyes at the three aerial zombies crazily flapping their wings towards him. They were a disgrace to the flying type, ruining the majestic image that he, and plenty of other flying Pokemon, portrayed. But they're not Pokemon anymore, are they? The Chatot questioned himself as he circled them. Staccato wouldn't mind using Hyper Voice until they yielded and fell to their deaths, but he could not multi-task; in doing so during flight, the sound waves would send him downward, crashing roughly against the ground below. He sniffed. That was from personal experience.

The Music Note Pokemon flew in smaller circles around the infected, forcing them to gather in a tight group. Staccato started his Featherdance, imagining an upbeat, staccato tune playing in the background as he flew around the undead, leaving behind his colorful feather upon them. The Pidgeotto screeched, attempting to throw off the falling feathers, but it was no use; too much had already been produced. The other two tried to peck the feathers off, but it only resulted in them pulling small scraps of their skin.

Staccato grimaced. Becoming one of those would be a nightmare. The Chatot flew upward, and started swinging his wings back and forth in midair quickly, until he felt his wings grow hot from the rapid movement. He swooped downward, his wings still hot, and he spread them wide, creating a Heat Wave and sending it toward the three unaware zombies. It hit them, and Staccato noticed that the visible parts of the brain had been boiled to a crisp, leaving it toasted and brown. The Pidgeys fell, their bodies useless with no mind controlling it. But the Pidgeotto stayed put, and surviving the rest of the Heat Wave, turned its anger toward the Chatot. It doesn't need a brain to know it intends on killing.

Staccato silently glided back towards the rooftop of the Olivine Lighthouse, knowing the Pidgeotto would soon follow after. He noted the Zubat had crawled towards the opening of the stairways, and landed next to the Pokemon. "If it took you this long to get here, it'll take you longer to get under!" He shouted at the Bat Pokemon. The longer they stayed out in the open, the longer they were exposed to the malicious Pidgeotto. It's much stronger than most zombies! Staccato grabbed the Zubat in his talons, and mumbling an apology, flew downward to the floor below them. The Chatot landed next to the next stairs that continued to go down. "Sorry about that," he said, letting go of the Zubat. "The Pidgeotto was after us. I had no choice but to make a tactical retreat." And I'll probably have to make another retreat soon, if there are other zombies within the lighthouse.

Ven could ony sit there and feel useless as the pokemon fought off the undead. He could only get a fuzzy idea of what attacks where being used and how the fight was going for who. From what he could tell whatever move his new friend used made the two pidgeys fall but the undead pidgeotto was still flapping.
The living pokemon flew back down to Ven.

"If it took you this long to get here, it'll take you longer to get under!" his companion said who jumped up. Suddenly he felt talons curl around him, before Ve could panic he sensed the heart beat and it wasn't long before he was put down again. They where now on the lower floor, and to keep his heartrate low he looked around.

"Sorry about that. The Pidgeotto was after us. I had no choice but to make a tactical retreat."

"It's Okay, I understand. I should be sayin sorry instead. Vith out meh ving I'm pretty vorthless." He hated the fact that he couldn't truely fly, he might be able to fly once he evolved but for now he was too weak.

"Meh name is... long... so jut call meh Ven. Could yah please tell me v- what species you are? My sonar is a bit damaged so I cen't v- really tell"

Ven's ears perked at the sound of another heartbeat "There's another pokemon," Ven said "An alive one."

First Floor | Early Morning [3]

Mist looked at Sin, then she looked towards the staircase to the next floor. From the sounds of it- it sounded as if there was a fight going on somewhere above. Curious, she slowly slithered to a window to see if she could find anything. As soon as she reached the window and looked out, two undead Pidgeys fell from the sky. Mist screeched and recoiled, surprised and scared.

She took a few deep breaths, calming herself down. She looked upwards. There was someone alive up there- someone that may need help- someone who may need their wounds healed, but there may be undead, maybe even a harbringer. Her mind was screaming at her to go up and help, even if it costed her life, but her body was refusing, wanting to keep living. She closed her eyes, trying to think of what to do. Finally, she gave in and slithered towards the stairs.

She looked back at Sin. "U-Ummm.... I-I'm go-going to ch-check up-upstairs... Wo-Would you l-like to co-come with m-me?" she stuttered, still not entirely sure if she could trust this Absol.

Sin could hear fighting in the upper floors. Perhaps someone alive fighting one of the infected? Or maybe the other way around. Regardless he had to go to the top to see where he should go next, and maybe meet some allies.
Sin was lost in his thoughts for a moment before snapping out of it and smiling ever so slightly at the Arbok. "Sure." he answered simply before starting up the stairs of the Lighthouse.

Top Floor of the Olivine Lighthouse || Early Morning

Faux had quickly made her way through the fourth and fifth floors of the lighthouse with ease. She was nearing the final set of stairs where the sounds of battle had faded, and her ears could faintly pick up the sound of wings shuffling above. Had something made its way inside the vast structure of the lighthouse? She knew by now there were indeed zombies within the tower like structure. She had managed to run into one, but with luck had also managed to propel it out a window. It had been a short battle, but whenever the Undead were involved. She didn't need to go getting bites and cuts. That was exactly how one could get infected, and it was best to avoid.

Whether or not there were more zombies lurking around the shadows, the Vulpix was unsure. There could be a possibility they were hiding. Simply waiting for her to let down her guard. She shuttered at the thought of being stalked, and took a brief moment to cast a cautious glance to the room about her. "Maybe coming here wasn't the best of ideas," she grumbled beneath her breath. Talking to herself had helped her keep her sanity. She had been without company for weeks at a time thanks to this epidemic. Call her crazy, but she did what she had to to keep a subtle mind. The thought of another living voice was something foreign to here these days. Even now, half of her expected the voices she had heard from above and below to be her mind playing tricks on her.

Curling her tails tightly, Faux prepared herself for what may reside on the floor above. More voices were speaking, and there words she could actually make out. They weren't the grumbles, moans, or shrieks that the normal Undead emitted. They were actual voices. With words that made sense. Her heart skipped a beat as she thought of making contact with another living Pokemon. Even if it would be brief. Knowing their were others out there who were still alive actually brought her a tiny shred of hope.

She started up the stairs fairly slowly with the memories of other beings all around her. It had never turned out very well, but its not like she was actually going to travel with anyone. She was just going to make sure everything was okay. If infected were running around the lighthouse, then that would put her life in danger. If the voices were figments of her imagination, she'd need to know what she was up against just in case whoever above were the Undead. Cautiously, the Fox Pokemon poked her head into the floor above. She was quiet, but it was immediately that her eyes fell upon a Zubat and a species of Pokemon she had yet to meet in her lifetime.

"Are either of you infected?" Faux shifted her eyes between the two as her body continued to emit a warm air around her. If either attacked, she'd be quick to release a Flamethrower. She was calm, but she was also cautious. This new world was a dangerous one, and she could never be to sure of new faces.

    "Are either of you infected?"

Staccato jumped at the sound of a feminine voice behind him. Quickly composing himself, the Chatot turned to a Vulpix, the head barely visible in the dim light reaching their standing point. He stepped in front of Ven protectively; while it was nice to see that she was obviously not infected with the way she spoke, he also felt alarmed that the temperature had risen a few degrees in less than a few moments. It was a sign that she had a Flamethrower in hand.

"No, we're not infected," Staccato narrowed his eyes to try to gather more of this sudden appearance of the Vulpix. The only sign that it was a Vulpix would be its lush red fur curling upon its head, but it could easily be anything else. The Chatot started chirping small, abrupt noises to help him think, his tail falling into rhythm. Could he trust this Vulpix? If it started attacking, Ven could be very susceptible to the harsh flames. Could this Vulpixx read thoughts? There was that story about psychic Ninetails... Staccato stepped forward, his chirping still in sync with his flicking tail. "Who exactly are you, Vulpix?"

Before the other pokemon could respond a female's voice interrupted them.

    "Are either of you infected?"

Ven out of instinct took a leap back. Zubats where prone to getting attacked by other pokemon and the heat rising in the room made him ready to jump up and hide. He knew a flamethrower set up when he felt one.

"We're not infected." The bird pokemon said speaking for the scared zubat.
Ven stuck behind his accquantince trusting the unknown birdtype who had saved his life more then the vulpix readying to attack them.

"Ve arn't infected! Ve're runnin avay from an infected pigeotto!" He hated flame type attacks the most, so he was panicing in the presence of a fire type.

Going Up | Early Morning [4]

Mist gave a nervous nodd as she slithered up the stiars, draggingher heavy body with her. All of her senses were alert- ready to run away or fight if there was an infected. Her heart's bet was so fast she thought she might've explode. Going up the last flights of stairs- she peeked onto the top floor of the buldingto see if there was anyone ther. And sure enough, a Vulpix, Chatot, and Zubat were there. She was scared to approac them, however, and hid behind a pillarand watchd silently.

    Going Up | Early Morning

Sin climbed the stairs alongside the Arbok he had met. He began to feel the air getting warmer as they traveled up the staircase. He glanced at his companion and returned his gaze to the 3 Pokemon in front of him. A Vulpix,A Zubat and a Chatot.
Sin looked at them closely. He didn't see any signs of infection but one of the Zubat's wings torn. Out of the corner of his eye sin saw that the Arbok had hid somewhere."You're not infected are you?" Sin asked returning his gaze to the three Pokemon in front of him.

Top Floor of the Olivine Lighthouse || Early Morning

Relief swept over the Fox Pokemon to hear the two nameless Pokemon claim that neither were infected. Of course, time had taught her that there were a great deal of liars in the world. She had once met with a fairly sickly looking Flaffy. It claimed it's illness was nothing more than a cold, and Faux had truly wanted to believe it. She didn't want to just recklessly kill an innocent living creature, however time had proved the other a liar. Thus the reason Faux would remain on guard. She was always observant, doing her best to take note of every little detail. The colorful bird Pokemon appeared in good health, however the tattered wing of the Zubat worried her.

For now. She ignored the condition of the flyer and emerged captiously from the ladder. All the while, she kept both eyes focused on the two before her. "Sorry if I caused you two a fright. I'm not use to seeing others who aren't... well, trying to eat me." Half of Faux was still trying to convince her that this was all a dream. There was just no way she'd run into another living creature. Especially not with the luck she had. Maybe her mind was just playing tricks on her? Whatever the case, she had to admit. Hearing someone else voice aside from her own made her feel like there was still some order in Johto. Whether that was true or not, she wasn't sure.

"I'm Faux. Nice to see there are others who are running around with a beating heart," she grumbled as her eyes took a cautious glance of the room around her. The temperature her body was emitting seemed to have cooled slightly. Even so, her muscles were still tensed. It wasn't to hard to tell that she was ready for a fight, though she meant no aggression to the two before her. It was just how she was now thanks to the epidemic.

Unfortunately, hearing as how the Pidgeotto Faux had seen earlier on was still in the air around the lighthouse. Her temperature once again fluctuated to a higher degree. "It's still hanging around? Great... hopefully it doesn't attract more flyers," she looked towards the window as if expecting the flying type to come diving in at any moment. There was a rustling from the ladder behind her, in which the Vulpix's ear were quick to pick up. As she whipped around with lips curled back into a snarl, her six tails unfurled as though ready to fire a Flamethrower. Her eyes had managed to capture the tail of something slithering behind a pillar at the last second, when something white caught her attention. It was larger than her, and was coming from the ladder as well. Unlike the bird Pokemon she had been chatting with. She was able to recognize this one as an Absol.

"I'm not, what about you and your little friend over there?" A quick inhale and Faux's senses told her that these two seemed clean to. No scent of decaying flesh. She never expected to run into even one survivor, but four? This seemed like the ideal condition for disaster. Big groups seemed to attract a lot of attention, and attention was one thing Faux was no longer fond of.
