    Lake Acuity| Mid Morning

The dawn had passed, the day had begun, though it was hard to tell with the clouds overhanging, blanketing the sky in a thick, downy sheet that stretched for eternity. The sun would not be seen this day, and the glaceon that roamed the lake shores was glad of it. While he knew sunshine was necessary, he veiwed it as a necessary evil. One of the few that he would have to tolerate.

Famaer looked around the glossy lake's serene peace, knowing that it was not all that it seemed. He knew the dangers that lurked beneath the water's surface, and seeing the lake as it was made his hatred for the Evil Types strengthen all the more. Not only did they already taint the world with their existance, but they had to create this plague that was killing the entire world... Then again, what else would demons do? What else was he to expect from scum?

He scoffed at his own reverie and kept walking, the soft snow crunching quietly beneath his paws. They would pay for their insolence and be purged from this godforsaken world, just like the rest of the Damned that now walked the land. He'd send them all back to Hell, if he needed to.

He would take great pleasure in it.

The glaceon reclused back to the treeline after taking a small sip of the water before spitting it back out. Damn. Of course it was tainted... He'd need to find another source, perchance whatever river was supposed to feed into the lake.

Adara bounced through the snow, quite literally bounced, singing nonsense to herself. It could be roughly translated to "La la la! La la la de da!" to anyone who might actually have been listening. She was so small that every time she bounced she would sink almost head level into the white fluff, so hopping out again was her only option! Of course, that didn't mean it couldn't also be fun! She hadn't seen any infected since she was separated from her brother Kaiden, when that weird energy tore them apart and threw her face first into a snow bank. It hadn't been snowing back home...but Adara didn't mind. She liked this fluffy stuff! It was almost fluffier than her!

She was so lost in her musings that she didn't notice the tree growing ever closer to her until she bounced head first into it. A soft "Ooph!" could be heard right before a mound of snow fell off a tree branch onto the poor little Eevee, completely burying her. She mewled softly trying to dig her way out, but she had no idea if she was digging down or up. Oh she didn't like this fluffy snow anymore! It was mean! Where was her big brother to come and melt it for her? Oh how she wished she was a Flareon! She always wanted to be one but without her brother she no longer had any idea how to get a Fire Stone. She was just stuck with the Everstone in her ear. And she was NOT going to be an Espeon or, Arceus forbid, an Umbreon!

Oh, right. Back to trying not to die!

She scratched and scratched at the snow until finally a small hole poked through. She was grateful for the air, but the snow was too heavy for her to get out of. Well, she could call for help and risk an infected finding her, or hope that someone might actually be alive out there. She hadn't seen either since getting here but...Oh well! Why not?

    "Help! Please! I'm stuck!"

Famaer paused as a strange sound whispered over the wind, a meoldy of some sort. He turned back to the treeline, his curiosity piqued. What manner of creature still had song within their throats in this day and age...?

He slowly made his way back, careful to not disturb too much around him, lest he alarm whomever was around, especially if it were somehow a Demon. He slowed when he saw a trail of large holes, which, to his mind, could only be footprints. He narrowed his gaze and looked around, reaching with both his sight and hearing, trying to find the inruder with whatever sense he could. His nose caught wind of a scent; female... eevee?

He looked at the holes harder and found that they were not footprints at all... His suspicion was confirmed when he heard someone whimper, "Help! Please! I'm stuck!" Sighing, he went to the closest hole and looked down to see a tiny eevee with a strange attachment to her ear.

"...What are you doing?" was all he could muster out of all the questions swirling in his mind.

Adara was happily singing to herself. She gave up yelling after a couple of minutes and figured the best way to entertain herself would be to make up a song.

"Rain drop, rain drops, pretty little rain drops.
In the spring time nice and clean
In the winter harsh and mean.
Rain drops, rain drops, silly little rain drops.
Now you see 'em, now you don't...."

She was starting to shiver from the cold. Adara had been in the pile for long enough that it was starting to soak into her super thick fur. When her teeth started to chatter she almost missed the sound of crunching snow nearby. Someone came? Yippee! She looked up out of the tiny hole she managed to claw into the pile that fell on her and saw a blue creature staring down at her. Well, at least it didn't look dead. "...What are you doing?"

Phew! It didn't sound like on of them either! Luck was on her side today! First creature she'd seen in forever and it was alive. She gave the blue guy a silly smile and leaned back into the hole. "Oh, you know," she giggled, "just chillin'." Laughing ridiculously at her own joke, she bumped the tree again and wound up causing more snow to fall on her. She yelped at the sudden impact and whined. A muffled "Help!" could be heard underneath the frozen drops of water.

Locutus was hunting through the snow-laden field when he heard a small yelp for help. He didn't think much of it and was about to continue on his way when he heard the little voice start singing a pretty little tune.

"Rain drop, rain drops, pretty...rain drops.
In the spring time nice and clean....
Rain drops, rain drops, silly little rain drops.
Now you see 'em..." The voice chittered happily.
    Hmmm...
He had never heard this kind of sound before. It puzzled him. An odd feeling started to grow in his chest, something he didn't understand. He started towards the sound, just as it stopped. Locutus tilted his head as he found the source, not far from where he stood. Trudging through the snow effortlessly, he made his way to a Glaceon, staring down a hole.
Maybe they'll do it again...he thought, hopeful to recall the feeling once more.

Famaer simply sighed as snow not only fell on him, but also covered the little eevee pup back up. She had done it to herself, but it was obvious that she would very soon freeze to death. He wasn't sure whether or not an ice type would help, but it would be better than suffocating on snow. Besides, she was such a tiny thing... an Innocent, as far as he could tell.

He pawed away the snow, revealing her bright face again, then lifted her out of the hole. Her pelt was freezing, and he guessed that the only reason she had lasted that long was her warm personality. He sighed again and placer her on his back. "There's no need for your little paws to stride on ice anymore, Child. Warm up. Maybe we can find you shelter and food... or maybe any family you've got left..."

His voice trailed at the sounds of heavy footfalls nearby, something probably attracted to the area by the pup's singing. He clicked his tongue in annoyance and backed away to the trees. He needed to see whether or not the intruder deserved the Hellish ice Famaer could unleash. "Keep quiet, now. Something large is approaching," he whispered behind him and continued to creep further into the treeline.

The blue guy brushed away the snow and lifted her out of the hole, where Adara could finally see what he looked like. From down there all she could see was blue fur, but up out of the snow she saw...a Glaceon! Just like Momma! She was placed on his back and she immediately snuggled into the soft fur. "There's no need for your little paws to stride on ice anymore, Child. Warm up. Maybe we can find you shelter and food... or maybe any family you've got left..."

Adara looked up from her snuggly spot and gave a confused look. Child? Shelter? At the mention of food her stomach grumbled and she was forced to remember that the last time she ate was the day she and Kaiden were separated. She missed her big brother...Oh! He asked about family! She opened her mouth to tell him about her massive Arcanine brother but he quickly shushed her, mentioning that something big was coming. Brother was big! Maybe it was him. She knew it was very unlikely but hey, a girl could dream right? Listening for the sound of heavy footsteps, she noticed that it was coming from just off to their side. Gotcha...

Adara leapt from the Glaceon's back and rushed towards the sound at full speed, well, as fast as full speed was in the snow for the tiny Eevee. She rounded a tree and smacked into something firm and...green? She popped back up in a flash, shook her head vigorously, and looked up at what she hit. A massive green dino-thing. Cool! She gave him a sniff and then a bright smile as she realized he didn't stink like the infected usually did. "HI!" she called up to him, enthusiasm practically bubbling from her. "I'm Adara! Who are you?" She looked up expectantly, her neck craning back so far it looked almost like she was about to fall backward. She liked big guys, tee hee!

Locutus lost sight of the blue Pokemon through the trees. In mild curiosity, he continued searching from where he last saw the blue thing. Everything had gone quiet and that wasn't normal. The Tyranitar paused and scanned the area lazily, but he saw nothing. Suddenly, he heard snow crunch and a small bump against his belly.
    Hmm?
He slowly looked down, finding a tiny little fluffball with eyes staring up at him.
"HI! I'm Adara! Who are you?" The fluffball shouted enthusiastically. Locutus' eyes widened a bit as he recognized the adorable little voice. Slowly and gently, he leaned over and picked her up with his claws by her scruff and held her up to his eye level. After a few seconds of looking at her, he said "I'm Locutus. Were you the one making that nice sound?" his gruff voice, almost a raspy whisper, was monotone and cold. But his eyes betrayed what he felt- they were bright with recalling the cheerful singing.

    Lake Acuity, Late Morning

The snow crunched under the feet of the Dewott as he walked along the shore of lake Acuity located to the very north of the Sinnoh region. He had walked through a blizzard all night before it started to lift up and he found himself here. He did not dare drink the water of the like, for anything this vast was bound to hold to horrid infection that could turn you without you even realizing it was happening, until it was to late.

Tyson placed his hand on the hilt of his sword as he heard sounds off in the distance. He couldn't make out what they where at first, but as he got closer he could make out that they where words, belonging to pokemon that still had enough sanity to talk, so they had to be living, or early infected. Keeping himself hidden behind a tree he looked to see who was talking, not taking his hand of hiss sword. What he saw was a large dino like pokemon and a fluff ball that could only be described as an Eevee. From the looks of it, they didn't seem to be undead, or even infected, though he kept himself hidden anyway. It was better to be safe, then sorry. Especially in these times.

It would be a lie to say that the eevee kit surprised him when she darted off his back at the sound of something approaching, though he was honestly shocked it wasn't away from the noise. Alarmed, he trotted silently after her, not wanting to alert the intruder with his presence as well. When he came to the breach of trees, he paused to take hin they unholy sight before him.

He knew the creature well; a tyranitar. His trainer and he had studied and fought many of the beasts; they were literally mountains possessed, feeding and destroying wherever they went. These monstrosities were sought for their pure, terrible power, and were probably one of, if not the strongest Dark-type pokemon to walk the Earth. And he had a weakness to the damn thing. The good news was that tyranitar were slow and... not known for their thinking skills.

Befitting that the phrase "dumb as a rock" has truth in every sense of the phrase in this case...

Snarling to himself in frustration, he watched in horror as the tiny Innocent simply approached the beast, asking him if she could ride him. He picked her up and said, "I'm Locutus. Were you the one making that nice sound?" Famaer's gaze narrowed. "Nice sound?" Did the beast not know what singing was? 'Well,' Famaer grimly thought to himself, 'If he's sentient enough to speak, mayhaps I could... reason with it... Make it let the child go...'

Taking a steadying breath, trying to control his rage and want to kill the demon, he emerged from the treeline, eyes not moving from the beast. "...Leviathan," he began softly, but firmly, "...You have no need for the child. Put her down and we'll be on our way. She'd be a poor meal indeed."

Adara giggled ridiculously as she was picked up by the scruff, just like Father used to do when taking her inside to go to bed. She picked up her legs and tucked them in as she went high into the air, still giggling madly. "I'm Locutus. Were you the one making that nice sound?" She stopped giggling and looked at him with big, round eyes. "Locutus, huh? Well that's a silly name," she joked. "I like it, though." What was that he mentioned about a nice sound? She thought hard for a minute, not really sure what he meant. Oh! Her singing! She giggled again, shifting her weight back and forth in his claws so that she began to rock. She gave him a big smile and just said, "Yeah. I was singing."

She sucked in a deep breath and was about to sing for him again when the Glaceon came out from behind a tree, staring down the big guy holding her up. He didn't look happy, and Adara wondered why. "...Leviathon," Well that wasn't right. "Locutus." She corrected. "L. O. C...uh...-Utus. Not 'Leviathon'." He either didn't hear her or ignored her, meanie. So she pouted. "...You have no need for the child. Put her down and we'll be on our way. She'd be a poor meal indeed." Meal? She began giggling again. Who said the big guy wanted to eat her. He was BIG! Like her brother. Big guys were jolly not mean! Oh wait! That gave her an idea.

"Hey Lockie! Can I ride you?" Big brown eyes, do your thing!

Locutus was puzzled by the small creatures' giggling and squirming; he had never really seen happiness before. The creature squirmed about as she spoke to the giant. "Yeah. I was singing."
...Singing...? Locutus tilted his head in confusion. Before he could say anything further, the large blue four-legged stalked out of the forest. Locutus' eyes glazed over again as he pulled the little one in and tucked her between his arm and chest, protecting her. Locutus didn't know much about social norms, but he did know a violent creature when he saw one, and this giant canine was one of them.

"...Leviathon...You have no need for the child. Put her down and we'll be on our way. She'd be a poor meal indeed." The newcomer said, his voice laced with barely contained rage.
Leviathan?...Meal?....What does this one intend...? The Tyranitar stared at him, his unamused gaze falling on the Glaceon as the little creature in his arms started giggling uncontrollably.

His attention turned to the little one he was holding.
"What is that you're...what are you doing?..." he muttered, bewildered, completely ignoring the canine. She ceased her convulsions, almost leaping out of his arms in excitement.
"Hey Lockie! Can I ride you?" She begged, her eyes as large as dinner plates.
"A....ride?" He asked slowly, letting the word flow off his tongue.
    "What's a...ride."

Tyson continued to watch these other pokemomn, clearly seeing that they where no threat. The large one seemed to be all muscle and no brain, and the eevee was eager to want to get a ride out of it, while the blue one was asking for it to be put down. The Dewott unwillingly took his hand off his sword, thinking for a few moments on if he wanted to make himself known to them or not.

He stayed where he was behind the tree, silently listening to there conversation as he pondered on the thought of revealing himself. If he did, then he would have to commit to try and help them to whatever it was that they where seeking to accomplish, though he didn't have to, he was never one to turn a blind eye to those in need. But if he turned away, then he could continue to be alone, training to the point where he could be as skilled with the sword as his master was, but perhaps he would still be able to do so if he was with others, perhaps they could help him reach his goal, as he helped then reach there's

Making a decision he began to walk out from behind the tree the had hidden him, approaching the three pokemon with confidence. He made a fist with one hand then placed it the palm of the other and bowed a little. It was a greeting his master had showed him, and he had continued to use it since.

Famaer growled as the beast continued to observe the little one. It didn't pay attention to him, but then again, he didn't really expect it to. Still, it was aggravating... The two continued their conversation when another pokemon appeared from the tree line and bowed, something that Famaer was certainly not used to.

"Er..." Famaer began intelligently as he stared at the strange creature. It did not speak, only bowed. "...Hello?"

"What's a...ride?" Really? He didn't know? Adara bounced happily and eagerly explained. "Basically you just walk around like normal while I sit on your head or shoulders! My big brother lets me do it all the time! Though usually I have to trick him...but last time I didn't have to! See, he felt bad for me because I got stuck in a tree and twisted my ankle. I told him I was fine but he didn't listen. He never listens. You know he does listen though? Daddy. Daddy always listens. Do you have a daddy? Brother and I have the same daddy but different mommies, that's why he is soooooo much bigger than me. But I don't mind because I get to be fluffy and adorable..." Adara completely lost herself in her never ending train of thought. Once she got started, it was hard for the little Eevee to stop.

She did, however, notice something coming out of the trees. It was blue and weird looking and stole all of her focus. Completely halting mid sentence she leapt from the Tyranitar and ran full speed up to it. It stopped in front of the Glaceon from before and bowed. COOL! Her old owner used to bow like that whenever he finished a kata or a spar with one of the local martial artists. Poor guy...she really liked him. He loved all of his Pokemon and fought to the death to protect them. Oh right! New guy! Picking herself up onto two legs, the tiny Eevee put her front paws together and bowed respectfully. Just like she used to do for her owner. He always liked it.

Then she completely ruined the effect by dropping back to the ground and opening her mouth. "HI! I'm Adara!" She got right up in the stranger's face. "Who are you?" This was becoming a typical greeting of hers now. If Kaiden were here, he'd probably smack his head against a tree at her behavior. She giggled at the mental image. Looking back at the weird blue guy expectantly, she waited for an answer.

((OOC: Yeah...Adara's a teeny bit hyper, don't you think? lol. Kaiden is usually the one that reigns her in but he isn't there anymore.))

"Basically you just walk around like normal while I sit on your head or shoulders!" The fluffy Eevee said, continuing to talk while he pondered.
Why would she want to do that?...
As the Eevee rambled, he carefully put her on his shoulder and looked at her expectantly, but she just cheerfully continued, oblivious to her new perch.
Suddenly, she leaped down, startling the Tyranitar.
He made a gesture to pick her up, but he stopped when he saw she wasn't hurt. He straightened as he saw the small blue creature approach them slowly and bow.

"Er...Hello?" The Glaceon muttered, just as confused as Locutus. The Tyranitar stomped closer and leered at the newcomer as the Eevee bowed in front of him. The small creature had a weapon- a weapon that he recognized as human-made. The glistening steel...
Locutus snorted, a low rumble emanating quietly from his throat.
He already didn't like the thing; it obviously associated with humans before, with a weapon like that. And he didn't like the innocent little puff-ball so close to the small creature, but he said nothing. He just stared down at the Dewott, his sharp gaze watching his every move for a malicious intent towards the little one, almost daring him to make a wrong move.

    Thump-a, thump-a.

Light footsteps padded across the snow, barely making a sound. Their owner was running around aimlessly, his mind too faded to set a task. The only thing now that drove him on was food.

In this cold enviornment, food was quite scarce. Any potential prey had long abandoned the icy lake, heading somewhere safer and more secluded. The only beings here now were either dead or undead, neither a particuarly desireable meal. The dead were, well, dead, and the undead were already halfway there. What Deimos wanted was a chase, a challenge. Although his mind was rotting, the training he received from his adoptive mother stuck firmly.

Just the thought of chasing down a helpless little creature made Deimos excited. His pace picked up. He snapped at the occasional snowflake falling, wanting to get anything in his jaws. Hopefully something would turn up soon.

Lake Acuity | Late Morning [4]

The last snowflake fluttered down on a figure's golden yellow mask as he moved endlessly in cycles around the forest that hung nearby a rocky terrain cliff. He held onto the mask closely, soft red eyes showed fear and anxiety all the time. Plea was the figure's name. A Yamask he was. He was new to this area. Plea didn't remember what happened, but he used to be a Stark Mountain, yet somehow he ended up from volcano to snow? He thought the snow could be ash, but it was impossible, because the snow was too pure white and cold to be such a dirty color.

With small, silent tears streaming down the Ghost-type's face, he floated closer to the trees. Plea was scared of the many scary things that could come out, especially since they could come out any time. He thought of how sometimes bug Pokemon hang in the trees, or bird Pokemon. The Yamask would float closer to the ground, but then he thought of the ground types that can dig up and pop up in front of him, eat him, thus he floats higher. He overthought this too much didn't he?

He couldn't pick an exact spot to stick in, ending up just staying in the middle of his choices. Plea's thoughts filled with fear of getting attacked. The Yamask glanced back up to check his surroundings rather than looking down at the ground like he usually does as he sulks, noticing a wide lake sparkle in front of him. The lake was a sight to be awed, as if it was untouched by that tainted Epidemic.

Plea couldn't help, but give a small smile that he had rarely gave in weeks. As he gazed at the lake, taking in the small details, he noticed a group of Pokemon, literally, next to him. He gave a small yelp, hiding behind the tree quickly, probably not quick enough to dodge being in sight of the Pokemon, but probably quick enough to make them think he's just... A ninja.

The Yamask always wanted to be a ninja.

Famaer frowned at all of the other pokemon and did not like the idea of the small eevee kit being around all of these strange pokemon. As she fell over on her back Famaer quickly went and picked her up by her scruff, then backed away from the strange pokemon. He did not like either of them, and his tail was high above him, warning them to back off.

"...Leave, both of you," he growled, not wanting to start a fight with the eevee so close to battle. He stood his ground, tail held high.

Adara pouted as she was picked up and carried off. Kaiden usually did it only when she was being obnoxious. She wasn't being obnoxious this time...was she? Hmm. Well, one way to find out! "Am I being obnoxious?" she asked Famear, in a perfectly serious tone. It was probably the first time all morning she hadn't had that light, airy quality in her voice. A lot of Pokemon thought she was still just a kid because of the way she spoke and acted, and from the way Famaer had treated her when they first met he would be no exception. She wondered how he would take the sudden switch. Adara giggled mentally at the thought.

She didn't really wait for an answer, though, because as she was being carted off a shadow went quickly behind a tree. Someone else was there. Someone new! "Hey! Hey over here!" she waved a paw enthusiastically. "Don't be shy!" Hopefully whatever it was wouldn't try to eat her, but she always had her handy-dandy Shadow Ball if anything tried. Plus now she was around a couple of big guys and they could look out for her too! So what could it hurt?

Locutus rose to his full height as the Glaceon grabbed the small one and raised his tail in a show of dominance.
    "...Leave, both of you."
"Am I being obnoxious?" the Eevee said sadly, her ears low.
She doesn't want to be with him! He's taking her! he thought, angered by the sudden show of aggression.
The Tyranitar stomped closer to the large creature baring his teeth and growling loudly, looming over the creature.
"Let her go. She doesn't like that." He said simply, his deep, monotone voice intensified by the silence. His vision quickly closed solely onto the Eeveelution as he prepared to go on the offensive, his powerful tail slashing the air violently behind him in a dominant display.

"Hey! Hey over here! Don't be shy!" the little creature said enthusiastically as she waved her paw around. Locutus stayed his ground, unmoved. He stared down the Glaceon menacingly, waiting for him to make his move. He payed the Dewott and whatever was approaching no heed; nothing could threaten him. But this blue fox, this one was different.
He wants to take her away. He wants to take the pretty music away.

Behind the Pine tree, the ghost-type shivered as he hid. For two reasons; One, it's cold as pretty much a giant ass ice cube. Two, there's intimidating Pokemon that could pretty much beat up Plea in just a few hits. The Yamask prayed that they didn't see him, but all hope that welled inside of him dropped dead to the floor the moment a happy-go-lucky voice called out, "Hey! Hey over here!" The Yamask ended up shivering more, but took a peek out of his hiding place, only to see the brown, fox-like Pokemon wave her paw enthusiastically. No one was usually glad to see Plea, the ghost-type felt his jaw drop in surprise, "Don't be shy!"

He glanced over to the snowy ground, should he really go over there? Introduce himself? Plea moved his gaze to where the fox was, apparently, surrounded by intimidating Pokemon. The Yamask gulped, I-I don't want to die... With a couple of blinks, he moved his gaze back to the ground, then reluctantly floated over to the Eevee, eyes still on the ground.

    Too shy.

"U-uh... Hi... I-I'm Plea..." The Yamask held his mask closer to his chest, "N-nice to m-meet you..."
